How to Win Sinners to Christ the Biblical Way

  1. God’s 10 commandments converts a sinner into a right relationship with Him

Psalm 19:7
"The law of the LORD is perfect, Converting the soul."

  1. The biblical definition of sin is breaking God’s law.

1 John 3:4
"Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. "

  1. God’s law is good if we use it for what it was intended for.
  2. The proper way to use the God’s law is with sinners.

1 Timothy 1:8-10
"We know that the law is good if one uses it properly.
We also know that law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious; for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for adulterers and perverts, for slave traders and liars and perjurers--and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine."

  1. We as believers need to use God’s law in witnessing to make the sinner conscious of sin.

Romans 7:7
"What shall we say, then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! Indeed I would not have known what sin was except through the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, 'Do not covet.'"

Romans 3:19-20
"Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin."

  1. God’s law stop’s every person’s mouth from justifying themselves, and declares them      guilty before God.

Romans 3:19
"Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God."

  1. The 10 commandments convict a sinner that he has broken God’s law.

James 2:8-9
"If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, 'Love your neighbor as yourself,' you are doing right. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers."

  1. If a sinner has broken only one commandment they are guilty of breaking all 10 commandments.

James 2:10,11
"For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. For he who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "Do not murder." If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker."

  1. Everybody in the world has broken some if not all of God’s 10 commandments.

Romans 3:23
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"

  1. The 10 commandments is what leads sinners to Christ.

Galatians 3:24
"So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith."

"I do not believe that any man can preach the gospel who does not preach the Law"
                                                                                                   Charles Spurgeon

"For effective evangelism, preach 90 percent Law and 10 percent grace"
                                                                                      John Wesley

"The salvation of a single soul is more important than the production or preservation of all the epics and tragedies in the world."
                                                                                 C.S Lewis
