The Freedom Of Soul Breakdancing School is a free dance program aimed at today’s youth. Hip Hop as a culture has transcended gender, ethnic & social boundaries. No longer is it confined to an urban/city setting but can be found in all areas of the world regardless of language & background. The common factor is simply the desire to express oneself through the culture. Therefore we have opened our doors to both boys & girls, to teach the foundations of breakdancing.
DO I HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO DANCE?
Breakdancing in itself requires no previous dance experience of any kind (though it would help). All that is required is a desire & will to learn & a commitment to practice. Therefore we also do not discriminate against anyone who “never has danced before in his or her life”.
WHAT MAKES BREAKDANCING DIFFERENT THAN OTHER DANCES?
Despite what many think Breakdancing is a dance. It requires rhythm, timing, form & technique. That being said, the difference lies solely in the moves themselves. For more information about breakdancing (what it is & how it started) check out our “Bboying” page.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Here at Freedom Of Soul we strive to create a friendly atmosphere, where kids of all ages, beginners & intermediate are welcomed & appreciated. Student’s will be working & helping one another towards the common goal: learning the moves & practicing the routines.
FREEDOM OF SOUL TRAVELING TEAM
Students who show commitment, punctuality, & progress will be given the opportunity to become a member of the Freedom Of Soul Traveling Team; performing at community events, churches, schools, libraries, etc.
